RADD, "the Entertainment Industry's Voice for Road Safety," is an
internationally recognized non-profit organization that empowers
entertainment assets, media partners and socially conscious supporters
to create positive attitudes about road safety and reward responsible
behavior on and off the road. Founded in 1986, RADD advocates the use
of designated drivers and taxi cabs for adults, best GDL practices for
teens, and control behind the wheel for all to make responsible
behavior the norm. RADD is a two-time recipient of the U.S.
Department of Transportation's prestigious Public Service Award and a
GHSA Award honoree.
Designated Drivers Program
RADD, funded by the Office of Traffic Safety implements a designated driver program to over 65 bars in San Diego County. Click here for a list of bars in the area. Businesses give away free non-alcohlic beverages and or free appetizer/dessert to the designated driver.

RADD introduces a bold 24/7 risk-intervention program to make sure you and your friends get home safely. For parents who want to make sure their teen and young adult children can always leave a difficult situation; for helping a parent or grandparent having a senior moment and feeling like they should not drive; and for the focus of this Summer Safety press event - to let everyone ages 21 and over know that they can always have a safe ride home without driving after drinking. The RADD/MSRH card is truly a family safe ride home no matter what the circumstances.
